Fashion Influencer & Blog
+ Web Design
Alex has a huge community on social medias and collaborates with beautiful fashion brands. Her pictures are amazing, her style is sharp, street & sexy. We designed a minimalist website to match that looks like Fashion magazines.
This project started with an emergency because Alex Closet website was down. She needed as well a more practical and modern website. At first, we fixed Alex's website and put it back online. Then, to meet our client's expectations, we suggested to leave Blogger platform and switch to WordPress, a CMS that gives more independence, security and graphic freedom. We did the migration of the blog and her 400 posts, changed her hosting and transferred it to her domain name. Once these technical changes were done, we were able to modernize the image of the Alex Closet blog. We opted for a very clean and contrasting design, black and white, inspired by fashion magazines and that gives enough space to the photos that must remain the main focus of the website. Alex had a constraint: the majority of her photos are in portrait format, they do not match too much with a full-screen computer screen. To limit the scrolling of users and to structure her posts graphically, we have chosen an alternation between right and left on the homepage and on the categories pages.
Alex has a very engaged audience that wants to know the brands she wears. It was therefore essential to make that information easy to access on the entire website and allow them to shop easily. Shop the Look miniatures on the homepage, a Shop my Insta page, and access to the blogger's Whishlist to be able to order the items even before they are in her wardrobe!
